Cookies in a jar...

Today was a cozy day spent with friends doing something crafty. Nicole, Heidi, Aja and I got all kinds of ingrediants to make Cookies in a Jar. I was in Pier 1 last week and saw that they were selling them and they looked like they would be pretty easy to make and would be cute little gifts. We decided on Country Oatmeal, Snickerdoodle and Candy Bar Cookies (with either peanutbutter cups, butterfingers or snickers). It was fun and fairly easy once we got a system down. Most of all, it was great to spend time with the girls. I didn't get pictures of the girls in action, although I wish I would have! There is a pic of before we started, and then the final product.

Buddy is a lucky boy!

My Aunt Pat and Cousin Debbie have been so sweet to send me little gifts ever since they found out I was pregnant. I am so lucky to have them as family! We don't get to see eachother that often but when we do, it's like we never skipped a beat. They are so fun loving and halarious! If you know me well and you met them, you would be able to tell we are related by our sense of humor! I just had to share what they sent me last week. My Cousin Debbie, sent me a beautiful, snuggly blanket that is blue and white and my Aunt Pat sent me all kinds of little goodies! Lots of onesies and overalls, even our first binkies! I am looking forward to seeing all of them next weekend.

Oh Christmas Tree!

We went and got our Christmas tree a few days ago on my birthday, it was something I really wanted to do on my birthday! I have always wanted to go up into the woods and chop down my own Christmas tree but for the sake of convenience ... we hit up Fred Meyer at about 7pm on a Wednesday night. We'll make it a priority to get up into the woods once little buddy gets here.

I love decorating my tree each year. My Mom has done something really cool for my brother and I. She has given/bought us ornaments every year so that we we had a family of our own, we will be equipped with a bunch of ornaments to start out with! I love the idea and can't wait to continue it with our kids. So here are some pics of our Christmas tree this year!
