First Mariners Game

We took Brett to his first Mariners game last night! We were SO excited. We met my brother, and his girlfriend Sarah at their house and helped them move a few big pieces of furniture to their new place. Then, we were off to the game! I was kind of worried because I knew it would be loud there and Brett has a "thing" with loud noises ... and people! We kind of figured the noise at the game would be more like "white noise" so we thought it might be fine. We were wrong. Poor guy, we got really high seats so we could spread all of our stuff out, we thought it was perfect UNTIL we looked up and realized we were right by the speakers! It wasn't just the speakers that freaked him out though, it was when the crowd screamed and the music bumped. I felt SO bad for Brett. He was screaming! We took him down to where all the vendors are and we watched most of the game from a TV! Sarah said that her nephew has the same sensitivity to noise and that her sister got him these ear phones and they worked wonders. I'm getting a pair! Sarah said that when people would sing happy birthday to her nephew Barrett, he would cover his ears and scowl because he didn't like the noise! It was great to see my brother and Sarah, they are so much fun. I wish we lived closer to them, I miss them.

5 - Months

Last Thursday, Brett turned 5 months old! He is doing cool new things every day. The more his little personality comes out, the more fun we have with him! He is finding his voice and loves to "talk" to us. He is working on rolling over, however his tummy seems to be getting in the way! He has also found his feet and tries so hard to grab them. Again, that darn tummy! His eyes and hair keep getting lighter. I had always hoped that our kids had Rob's family's pretty blue eyes! Our favorite time is when we are all three in bed. Brett sleeps in his crib but when we are all up for good in the morning, we try and get a little snuggle time in. Those are moments I'll remember for a long time (:

Cannon Beach

We went to Cannon Beach for three nights last week. We stayed in Rob's parent's trailer at the RV park. It was our first camping adventure as a family! It was SO much fun!! We absolutely love Cannon Beach. We both said it is a place we'd like to go each Summer. Next year I think we will stay longer. They have such a cute downtown with tons of little shops. They also have a great beach! Ocean Shores is closer but Cannon Beach is so much better! Brett and I slept up top in the "big" bed and poor Rob slept on the couch. We brought the pack n' play but there wasn't room to set it up! Brett slept really well all three nights. He loved being outside! He was such a trooper! We kept him pretty protected from sun and bugs but since we were close to the Ocean, there weren't a bunch of mosquitos, which was nice. It was such a fun trip and we can't wait for next year! Some of our friends really like Cannon Beach as well and may join us next year. So fun!

Baby Class

I have been taking a Baby class through SPSCC on Tuesdays. It has turned out to be such a great experience! Each class, we play games and sing songs with the babes, have a snack, then the professor gives a lecture on a topic that the class has chosen ahead of time. The professor is wonderful! She is also a counselor with a private practice, so her lectures tend to be therapeautic, which I totally dig!

The week before last, we did baby massage. We got the babies undressed, ALL the way, and then the professor showed us differant techniques. The funny thing was, baby "exercise" was first before massage. Brett was getting a little tired so I ended up rocking him through his excercise but when it came time for massage, he was totally down for it! He loved it! Just laid back and relaxed. He was SO relaxed that he peed ... all over the mat of the girl next to me! I quickly covered the spray with a flat hand and could just hear it splattering everywhere. All we could do was laugh! It's bound to happen with a naked little boy!

Last week, we made Brett's first art project - see picture. It was so precious. The professor painted the bottom of the babies feet and toes while we held them and stamped them onto the contstruction paper. SO cute and something I would never think to do myself at home. It is for sure going in his baby chest!

4 Month Check Up

Brett had his 4 month check up last week! He is in the 65th percentile for height (at his 2 month he was in the 35th!), he was in the 60th percentile for head size and the one you have all been waiting for .... he was in the 94th percentile for weight! He is doing great! Changing all the time. Each day it seems like he is noticing more and doing more, I just love it! Here are some bathtub pictures from last week. The tub is too small, looks like we're moving to the bumbo in the tub!
