The Nest

This is a picture of Brett's "nest." He hasn't been sleeping very well in his bassinet, so I made him this little bed we call it his "nest." He looks so cozy when he is in it and sleeps so well! Rob and I keep wishing someone would make us a snugly "nest!"

Brett - 5 weeks

Baby Brett - 5 weeks old! My friend, Nicole, is a photographer. She was in town this weekend shooting and wedding and came over to meet Brett on Sunday. She brought her camera and got some great shots, even though Brett got a little hungry and started to cry. We are going to do a full session with her in the Fall, I'm really looking forward to it!

A walk in the park

Yesterday Brett and I met Becky and Ashlyn at the park for a walk and a picnic, it was super fun! We got to enjoy the beautiful weather, it was nice to get out for a few hours! Here are some pics of Brett and Ashlyn. I wish I would have snapped one of Ashlyn with her sunglasses on, it was hilarious and so cute!

What not to wear or hair club for babies?

This is what you get when Grandma dresses the baby! She puts the most curious outfits together sometimes and it's not because she has bad taste! I think it's all in effort to make him comfy and to allow for an easy diaper change ... the fasion is what suffers (: His balding pattern continues although there is some fuzz starting to grow on top and the rest of his hair is so fuzzy!

3 Weeks

Here he is, so big! Ok, so I missed week 2, I hope to not miss anymore but I'm sure it will happen here and there!

These three weeks I have learned a tremendous amount about myself and our new addition. We have had a bit of a rough start with the both of us being a little sick. I chalk most of it up to being in labor so long. Brett and I both have had infections. We have our meds and should be on the mend! I am super excited about the sweet weather we've been having. I can't wait to break the stroller out and take him around the lake! I keep being reminded that I need to take it easy for another month or so, to let myself recover from surgery. I don't want to push it then pay for it later.

It seems like Brett is getting so big so fast, I want it to slow down! He has quite the balding pattern at the moment, sometimes when we get the right angle, we can't help but crack up at our little "old man", it's precious. SO much to look forward to and dream about with our new little boy! He is the best!
